I’ll beat that dead horse once again! Ms Harris should crawl back into the hole she left after leaving as Sec of State.
Ms Harris is a trainwreck who continues to show poor judgment. Stop the campaign, take your 10 million dollars, go on a cruise, go away, please don’t “run” for anything except the Georgia-Florida border.

Ms. Harris is a pathetic embarassment. If Republicans are all about ethics and family values, then why and how can some people blindly support the indisputable cheating Ms. Harris helped to orchestrate in this state? How can some people blindly support anyone who claims to be anti-liberal? What’s so bad about liberals? It’s the Republicans who have consistently lied to us, misled us, alienated most of the rest of our planet, and turned all national politics into a win-lose game. Ms. Harris represents everything that is wrong in US politics today. I am ashamed to live in her district.

Katherine Harris is an idiot!!
She hardly has two brain cells in her entire head to rub together. To me, she is nothing but an puppet and an complete embarrasment to the Republican Party.
Open your eyes and get RID of her! She needs to be home baking COOKIES.

I HAVE TO QUESTION WHY ANYONE WOULD SPEND 10 MILLION DOLLARS OF THEIR OWN MONEY SO THEY COULD BE U.S. SENATOR.
WHY DO THEY WANT IT SO BADLY? ONE MIGHT DRAW THE CONCLUSION THAT ROSS PEROT AND STEVE FORBES TRIED SPENDING A GREAT DEAL OF THEIR FORTUNE WITH ONLY MEAGER RESULTS, WHAT MAKES KATHERINE THINK SHE IS ANY DIFFERENT? GOVERNMENT CORRUPTION INVESTIGATIONS ARE THE REAL REASONS BEHIND HER DISMAL
POLL NUMBERS NOT SOME BIASED MEDIA CONSPIRACY.

Rather than have Katherine Harris tell us that God wants her to be in the Senate, or, that Bill Nelson is an “empty suit”, it would be nice to hear from Ms. Harris why we should vote her in, rather than why we should vote Bill Nelson out. As for God wanting her to be in the Senate, perhaps if the Vactican sent an emissary with millions of dollars for her campaign, that statement may have a bit more credibility

Come on! Don’t people know, can’t they understand, that (1) Kathleen is only laying claim to her birthright & (2) that Dick, W, Laura, Jeb et. all still owe her big time for those “favors” done back in 2000. So I don’t know what all the hub-ub is about here; heck, those people who had the black “W” stickers (don’t see them much anymore for some reason) proved what a dumb lot the American voting public is… Let Kath have it, at this rate their won’t be much left anywho.

“Instant karma’s gonna get you!”
those who live by the lie and the cheat end up on the trash pile with all the liars and cheaters. couldnt happen to a more deserving blight on the human race.

Kathleen Harris has been a trainwreck waiting to happen ever since she entered politics. Hopefully her quest for the senate will finally get this self important woman derailed. The public doesn’t need another politician who tries to feed on the public’s hysteria about terrorism, blames the media for her mistakes, and bases her decisions on party politics and self promotion. Harris has always been just another millionaire looking to further the interests of her small circle of freinds and contributors.

Katherine Harris in my opinion does not stand a chance of becoming Senator. She does not even come close to what Senator Tom Lee has done for his district, and for the State of Florida. She had the opportunity to prove what she could do as a congresswoman, and failed in my book. I do not believe her own party is going to back her. She should do the noble thing and back out, donate some of that money to charity and give someone else that stands a chance to get elected an endorsement.

I applaud the Tribune for it’s tireless coverage of this disasterous campaign. The Trib is undoubtably the most conservative paper south of the Wall St. Journal, yet they’ve run circles around the Times exposing the misteps of this Republican campaign.
Perhaps people like Mr. Parker should turn down their AM radios and take a cue from the Tribune as to what REAL Consevatism is all about: not blaming others (like the media) and embracing meritocracy. Ms. Harris’ conduct throughout her tenure as a representative and this campaign do not make her a valid representative of Consevative principles, Republicanism, or the state of Florida.

ms.Harris, find a rock and climb under it!Learn how to get your story straight!
posing as a model will not give you the looks.
what is the catch here anyway?
your going to spend 10 million?
how much do you expect to make on that amount?nobody spends 10 million to make nothing!!!
please leave and spend whatever you have outside politics

Harris has my vote for one and only one reason. She is not Bill Nelson. Nelson represents Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Hilary Clinton and the rest of the far left liberal crowd. He is their yes man . Florida needs s Senator who will represent the wishes of the Florida people, not blindly follow the marching orders of the far left wing.

Cmon Catherine;
Nothing new, the “good ole boy” network
still regins supreme in Florida!!
Ms Harris could very well do a great job but the system paints her negative.
Too many folks still hesitate to believe in a woman politician,ex;a certain woman from New York.
Ms Harris is just as qualified or better than most of her male counterparts..Let it be!

Harris shoud step aside. She reminds me of Linda Tripp - in a bad way.
I wouldn’t vote for her. She shows character flaws and poor judgment, and the campaign is not started yet.
She, Jeb and George should take a hunting trip with their buddy, Dick Cheney.

If revenge is a dish best served cold, I will enjoy watching her spend multiple millions of her own money to lose to Bill Nelson. That by itself will be the meat and potatoes of payback for her foisting that shallow dry drunk George W on us. But dessert? That will be watching the evangelical right wing put its eggs in her basket and go to hell in them.

No one, even the geniuses on ‘The Daily Show’, could imagine the debacle that the Katie Hair-Do campaign is becomming…NO ONE!!
Just when you think the ‘publiskums have reached the bottom of the barrell: Claude Roy—drunk and abuser—Kirk, Jr., “Easy” Ed Gurney—the man too stoopid to be convicted, Bob “tax/no tax” Martinez, Jeb-Boy, they come up with Miss Katie!! Unfreakin’ believable!! Thanks Publiskums!!
Ya just couldn’t make this stuff up, could ya?

Coverage of the Harris 2006 Senate run has been appalling on both sides of the Bay. The Nelson candidacy gets no scrutiny, while we are exposed ad nauseum to every hiccup in the Harris campaign.
Reason?
She singlehandedly stepped into the gap when it looked like the Florida Supreme Court would try to exert partisan muscle in the 2000 recount flap.
Liberals in and out of the press cannot forgive her for it. Ever!

Inflammatory articles, such as this are why I no longer watch channel 8 news and why I will not visit this sight again. Get fair and balanced. I would love to have accurate local news coverage.
